    Good Morning Debra

I live about 1 hour from the Southern California Beaches, not as fortunate as you being right there every moment. That must be nice. But, some people aren't even fortunate enough to be any where near the coast so I do still count my blessings. I love your photos...Makes me feel like I'm there with you.

Love what you have written Debra, its beautiful. Places and things can evoke such special memories of loved ones. Linseed Oil makes me always think of my mum (she used to make beautiful porcelain dolls and the oil was used in the painting process). I love the ocean and the beach -the smell of the salty air. When I was little my family sailed on a yacht nearly around the world stopping at various islands and countries over a 3 year period. I loved it and still love to go sailing now but unfortunately we live a lot further from the sea than I would like.
Your blog looks fantastic, I was all fingers and thumbs when I created my first one but I generally just spent time playing with all the functions and learnt from there. Your photos are beautiful too. Thanks for the email too. It is nice to meet visitors. Have a great day.

    Hello Debra,

Thank you for visiting my blog and your kind comments. Hopefully you will be added to the blogroll soon.

I'm not really sure I'd be able to give you any advice, only to say, that for me, my blog was something I prayed about and dedicated to the Lord from day #1. Other than my scrapbooking designs, which I advertise from my blog, I have chosen never to make it a commercial venture, but thats just a personal choice for me. I make very little income from my designs, but giving away freebies almost daily has become a huge ministry for me. God opened the doors for me through my blog to be invited to be a designer!

You already have a gift four journalling, I truly enjoyed reading your dedication to your Mother. Your sentiments have touched my heart too, and what a beautiful way to remember her, by sharing with us!

I think the picture is just BEAUTIFUL - I notice when I click on it - it enlargens to full size. This is something I usually include in my post, that my readers can click to see it bigger?

How would you like me to design a scrapbook page for you, using your Mother's photo? I'd love to do this as a gift to you - in scrapping world thats called an RAK (random act of kindness) If you do, let me know, and email me with the journalling you would like to include. It should say where this pic was taken, why she was posing, or a poem, the date? Whatever you wish!

Thank you Debra for taking the time to contact me - and I look forward to hearing from you!

    warmly,
    Barb (Mrs. Miles)

Hey, I also just want to thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog. I so appreciate it.

Thanks for your visit to my blog and your kind comments! Moms and beaches -- two of my favorite topics. There IS something about the beach that brings back family memories and unites one generation to the next. Perhaps that's only true if you live near the coast, but here in Baltimore, going "down 'e oshun" is an annual ritual. I still have my Mom with me, but my Dad has passed on, and when I look at those faded photos, the memories come back in technicolor. Wistful dreams of reuniting with him are sweet 'at the end of the day' ;0)

    Debra,
I'm so glad you visited mine and my sister's blogs! I actually got the email from her to stop over here. I pulled up your blog...and then...life! So, I'm glad to have you comment to remind me!

This post is moving. I'm sure you saw by my blog that I LOVE THE OCEAN, THE BEACH and ALL THINGS BEACHY! When my youngest daughter, Sophie (tubal-reversal baby) was on the way, I knew I did not want a theme styled nursery. My mother-in-law made pretty much everything and it is beautiful! I wanted colors of the ocean and a peaceful feel to the room.

I'm originally from Pensacola. I have prayed all summer for an open door to vacation for even just a weekend before my oldest daughter, Cammie, goes off to basic training for the LA National Guard this September. Hasn't happened...yet! If it's not to be, so beit! We will have an opportunity later. BUt I am sooo longing for the ocean!

That cottage you described...WOW! So what's coming about your love for the beach? I just might have to jump on board and send you my reasons for loving it as well. It truly is one of God's most beautiful works! ...I think so!

Great to meet you! Hope to get to know you better through this blogging thing! ;)
